I dislike books that have characters that have years that have passed then meet up again. It makes me sad at the years they didn't have together. This was recommended to me so I gave it a shot. I did end up liking the book alot. I think I liked the writing more then the plot or characters(straight up funny times).

Loved it. Fun short read. Exactly what you expect no real surprises. Its a short story so alot is sorta rushed, but well done. I wish we could have seen a bit more of them falling in love more then just lust, but again its a short story so its ok. Alot was packed in this :D

Review: Bet Me

I liked it, but don't think I can say I loved it.

So book was more Chick Lit than Contemporary Romance. I don't really read Chick Lit.

The story was great. A light-hearted funny time.

The writing was hilariously funny.

The steam factor was missing a lot..for a plot based on a bet to sleep with her.

Lot of the situations were entertaining, but not very realistic(not that I read these books for realism personally).

SO over all I enjoyed and will read other books by author.

Funny story about coming out of closet and things not happening the way Brad expects.
Felt that there were lots of things that were not finished....then found out there are other books so that makes sense. Looking forward to reading the other books. I also love it when the top is smaller :D

Review: Where the Allegheny Meets the Monongahela

Where the Allegheny Meets the Monongahela by Felicia Watson

The Plot: Was mainly just a coming out story and finding love.

The Hero(s):
Logan: Anger issues, in closet never been with guy and has suppressed rage from keeping all his thoughts and feelings inside till he meets Nick.
Nick: Domestic violence counselor, had damaged past. Not looking to find love, but it finds him anyway despite that Logan is an abuser and is married with children.

The Writing: Is a beautiful story, I felt connected to the characters immediately. I did feel that their falling in love was rushed. We didn't really get to see that. They went from lust to being full on in love.

Hotness and sex appeal: Sex scenes seemed as rushed as them falling in love...Logan went from rubbing on each other to getting fucked. Felt he went from being so ashamed and suppressed and then they were having sex way too fast. They didn't go slow enough for me.

Over all was an enjoyable read.

So I have wanted to read this book for a while, but for some reason just kept putting it off(the blurb or whatever you call it dose not do this book justice) ...WOW I so wish I had got to this sooner. This book kept me up till 5am. Funny, sexy, plot, and side characters I am dreaming can have their own books.

Not sure why some reviews said its boring it had lots of action with lots of twists: some you see, some you don't see coming
Hero is sexy, scary, scared
Heroine funny(only found her annoying some of the time)

I love this story so much. Not for the light of heart. Although people should keep in mind that the author is not a native English speaker, but it works as the main character's main language is not English. I don't care I would rather read her wonderful story with mistakes then not to have it at all.

Review: Fighting for Flight

OK so had to stop at 24%...some sorta spoilers below Warning...well as many as can have in just 24% of book. writing is funny...I liked it. I really did. But just so many things that annoyed me. Don't give a crap about grammar or writing structure,(mine sucks so not going to judge on that), so that was ok. But OMG there were just so many thing I could not get over. SO much growling, giggling, moaning, and crying/whining.

Not sure why people like this guy Jonah. All that is going for him is he is hot sexy fighter, rich, and has sad past. (alright sounds ok to me)

So I'm annoyed at stupid little things that just bugged me too much to go on:

at 10% I was liking it a good amount, but was irritated that bad ass girl mechanic can't open a bottle of water? It's a small insignificant incident that just bothered me a wee bit. I mean she works with her hands, come on
(loved the grease fight though so kept reading)

13% ok again just we bit annoyed that she was not wearing work gloves and got finger cut....not even just Disposable Gloves ...I guess not all mechanics wear gloves, but a girl that has sooo much Victoria secrets undies I would think does not have gross work hands…..again small insignificant incident that bothered me...

Again annoyed about the comment that she’s going to give cat generic food for 6 months to make up for splurging on an overpriced bathing suit…...I guess my pets are like my children….and hearing someone say “oh I will give them crap food so I can look hot in an over priced outfit”...wished she would have just said something like” oh have to have generic coffee creamer or no meat for 6 months”...but wherever probably again something that only really annoys me.

..she goes over to his bbq and just wants to sit out in the lounge chair to get sun….rather than hang with him? ahh ok...

Oh more cat fun! (loved that she calls the cat Dog).”oh I can’t move in with you because I have to feed the cat that I don't care very much about”. Not “oh I just met you 7 days ago and you are a womanizing jerk whose last lay I just met”….”oh I am a virgin,dads a pimp,Moms a whore”


24% and I am done...really really wanted to like this and even now I want to keep reading…there's some funny writing and a cool plot? but I I just can’t….I don’t know I guess I just don’t get this book. maybe I will come back later..or maybe not
