Review: Question Mark

Question Mark
Question Mark by S.E. Culpepper

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

So unlike a lot of readers I really liked MArk at the end of the first book and really wanted to see his side and story...although at the end of the book I think I liked him less then at the start.

This book is a 3.5 for me...would have been 4 but I really hate the authors love scenes. I feel lost in them not knowing whats going on and have to re-read them to find out whats happening. Also it's like the author does not like anal(which is ok...you don't HAVE to like anal to be gay, but the characters seem to want it we just don't get to see or even feel anything with it. There is some awesome and I really mean awesome build up to the sex scenes then they fall dead. Like a heart monitor it's beeping so fast then.........it flat lines.

On that note I do like the story so far for all the guys. And will read the all the books, and love this author..

SO I hate Christian...but off to read his book. I hope Kevin is worth it.

Review: Nothing Special

Nothing Special
Nothing Special by A.E. Via

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

So the title says it all. Nothing special to really say about it. The names keep making me laugh. There was just something missing to make it seem realistic it was just so over the top with everything. I mean a cop with out insurance? Even if he was trying to save money I just don't think that the characters would be that stupid. And I really wanted to like it. The sex was very hot. But they have sex right after he is still so sick? and one is super drunk? It just really had some random things that just didn't fit right.

Review: Private Eye

Private Eye
Private Eye by S.E. Culpepper

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

SO I started to read this book only to realize I had read it before. That didn't stop me from re-reading it. I have a little rule that anytime I read a book more then once it is an auto 5 stars even if the book is crap. This book is very good though. 4-5 starts even with out the re-read. Love the GFY books and this is a very good one. My one real negative thing about this is some of the sex is just skimped over The Jeremy's first time bottoming is so short...not even short just said in very short passing that it just happened. Sad face But the writing is good you can feel the relationship develop. The side plot mystery adds to the story not distracts or is pointless.

Overall great book off to read the second story.

Review: Exclusively Yours

Exclusively Yours
Exclusively Yours by Shannon Stacey

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I dislike books that have characters that have years that have passed then meet up again. It makes me sad at the years they didn't have together. This was recommended to me so I gave it a shot. I did end up liking the book alot. I think I liked the writing more then the plot or characters(straight up funny times).

Review: Hail Storm

Hail Storm
Hail Storm by D.J. Manly

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Loved it. Fun short read. Exactly what you expect no real surprises. Its a short story so alot is sorta rushed, but well done. I wish we could have seen a bit more of them falling in love more then just lust, but again its a short story so its ok. Alot was packed in this :D

Review: Bet Me

Bet Me
Bet Me by Jennifer Crusie

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I liked it, but don't think I can say I loved it.

So book was more Chick Lit than Contemporary Romance. I don't really read Chick Lit.

The story was great. A light-hearted funny time.

The writing was hilariously funny.

The steam factor was missing a lot..for a plot based on a bet to sleep with her.

Lot of the situations were entertaining, but not very realistic(not that I read these books for realism personally).

SO over all I enjoyed and will read other books by author.

Review: Frat Boy and Toppy

Frat Boy and Toppy
Frat Boy and Toppy by Anne Tenino

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Funny. Emotional. Sexy hot.

Love a jock and geek pairings.
Brad: closeted confused jock
Sebastian: out and proud TA

Funny story about coming out of closet and things not happening the way Brad expects.
Felt that there were lots of things that were not finished....then found out there are other books so that makes sense. Looking forward to reading the other books. I also love it when the top is smaller :D
